Seems like just a few weeks ago, not over a month ago that we took a late afternoon road trip through the back roads between here and Dodgeville, Wis.
Not far from here, though I'm not sure I remember just where we were when we found them, was a small herd of these Highland Cattle. How cool! I love their shaggy look. You can just see the feet of a young, very pale colored one behind the our main model wearing the bell.
After reaching Dodgeville, we continued on to the Iowa County Recreation and Prairie Restoration area, just west of Dodgeville. We went down by the pond, this time. There are several areas for hiking and enjoying restored prairie lands.
