Fresh Snow

Just before Christmas, southern Wisconsin was blanketed with a light layer of fresh snow. You know my camera and I couldn't just sit back with a cup of coffee and let the opportunity pass us by, especially since it was my day off.

Our first venture was to walk through the backyard. For practice and learning purposes, I stuck with the 50mm prime lens, instead of going to my normal backyard set of gear, my normal lens and the macro filters.

Just outside my door, is the set of patio furniture. These used to be teal, until I repainted them a lovely stone color.

I had to walk under the pine trees.

I love this park bench, and it seems to find itself in winter photos every year. For this, I set the image to greyscale.
