The Fluff of Fall

Every autumn, I try to go out and take a few photographs of milkweed as they fluff out. My first stop this year was to early in the morning, and the dew was still wet and heavy on the white strands.

A few days later, I was out in the late afternoon, and was able to find an easy-to-reach patch of milkweed. I did have to fight a few wind gusts, however.
The back-lit photo below has become my favorite so far this season. Hopefully I'll get to go find a few more in the next couple of weeks.
